The 'Cats Let Nothing Darken Their Roar' calendar started in January 2006 with a print run of 30 modest copies. It then went to over a million copies in 2007, in a special edition for Finland's daily newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, to a fine edition of 700 copies today.

The calendar is printed in four colours on uncoated stock. Finished with its distinct signature black ribbon binding, which in itself involves a seven step manual process.

Every year, Noa Bembibre writes the phrases, typesets the dates and quality controls every copy.
